These are the groups of teams that, taking after the official agenda, will fight during the group stage for a place in the knockout stage of the 2021 Virtual Libertadores:

During the group stage the 32 teams compete within their same group, collecting points according to the match results: three points for a win, one point for a draw, and none for a defeat.

At the end of this round, the first and second qualified teams from each group go into the knockout phase, where they compete in sixteenths, quarter finals, semi finals, and the big final, to become the new Latin American champion club.
